City of Devine The Dr. George S. Woods Community Center The mission of the City of Devine Community Center is to provide an event center on a for-rent basis for various events such as meetings, conferences, trade shows, dances, banquets, fundraisers, birthday parties, anniversaries, weddings, graduations, reunions and other large hall facility events in an effort to support our community’s event center requirements. The Community Center is equipped with a full service Kitchen, Stage area and Men and Women Restroom facilities. Tables and Chairs are included with any reservations made and to be used only at the Community Center. The Community Center has been designed to enhance and enrich the cultural life of the community. All residents of the community are entitled and encouraged to use the community center for activities that would promote the community. The center is open for use regardless of race, sex, age, national origin, religion or physical or mental handicap. The policies and operating procedure described below are intended to enhance any activity held in the community center so it is fairly available to all and the facility is kept in good shape for all to use and enjoy.
